Alright so this has to be easier then I'm making it to do!! Can anybody tell me how they'd go about making the shape in photoshop located at the top of this test board? I managed to get the shape, minus the messiness around the edges, but it was a production. Whats the easy way to do this? Preferably an easy way that won't leave such a messy edge?

It seems like you should use the pen tool for a smooth line. Start with an anchor at the bottom corner of where you want the curve to begin. Then go the the top center of where the curve is and drag it so that the arm goes all the way to the top corner of the image. Then click the bottom corner of the image where you want the curve to end. Connect that point you just created with the first one. Select from the path and then inverse selection. Delete.
