So I actually opened Photoshop...

Exams, A levels, work, blah, it's stopped me opening Photoshop in months. I stuck this layout together earlier, not sure tbh

Hm. I'm not too sure either.

I like the color scheme. I think the colors all work together pretty well. I even like the bottom dark green, although that took a little bit of staring for me to appreciate it.

The thin green bar separating the main content from the affiliates, recommended, etc. links could transition a little better. Maybe if you applied the same effect you did to the top of the bar to the bottom, rather than just a straight edge, it may flow a little nicer rather than being really abrupt.

I think the whole page is also a little too long. The gap between the first and second article blocks could probably be smaller. Also, the gap between the copyright and the second article could be smaller as well, to minimize the scrolling downward.

I actually like the white bar at the top. However, the part containing the "new image gallery" image and then the little text box next to it should be at the same height, I think. Just being a little picky, also, maybe Login should be Username, and Pass should be password. Or, if you're trying to keep it shorter, at least username.

Anyway, I really do like the overall look of the layout, just some nitpicky things, I suppose.

Yeah I see what you mean about that bottom bar now, will have to work a bit on it.

The length depends on how much content is on there - I don't normally make them this long in Photoshop but decided to this time.

The white bar is the bit I'm not sure about, so someone liking it is good with the image gallery I'm more worried myself about it pulling attention away from the logo, but I could see what making it the same height looks like; and the login box could be changed easily enough yeah

Bullet form here we go.

• I like how you keep rounded borders throughout the entire design.
  
• The G logo doesn't hang over the green wrapper thing the same amount of pixels of the lorem ipsum box.
  
• What is the lorem ipsum box for?
  
• The main navigation doesn't have the same padding on the left side as the login/password does on the right side.
  
• The login and password field should be the width imo
  
• The title of each post should stand out more. Even though it's a larger size, it's roughly the same color.
  
• I love the amount of spacing you used between each text line in the posts. Perfect job there.
  
• The posts should be closer together, not so far apart.
  
• Put the 'designed by blablalbla' at the very bottom of the design. and align it with the rest of the content.
  
• Also align the 'Partners + Affialiates' box and the 'Recomended box' with the rest of the content above. They spill over a little.

Yeah, I do like the white bar. And actually, the first thing my eye went to was that interesting G symbol. So either it was just luck, or the rest of the layout really isn't too distracting.

Andrea - straight to the G symbol? Perfect! Interesting is probably the greatest word, it was a 2 minute thing with the pen tool haha.

Not sure what you mean by point 2, could you clarify? Lorem Ipsum box is for general updates or something along those lines, I thought the bar on its own looked rather jammy. The padding is different by mistake now I notice, that's something I could sort out with CSS in the final layout same with login/pass, easy enough to edit, but I agree with you, I was getting tired by the third hour content yeah I can see now the boxes are too far apart, but text spacing is so important, seemed far too cramped on Auto line spacing.

I disagree with you on the copyright, I think it's better above the bottom, the links at the bottom the spacing is wrong anyway
