I hate doing introduction posts

I don't know why, but I really don't like doing this post. I really tried to avoid this when I eventually found this board after posting an ad for my forum, the Zone.

My name is Mickey. I live in New Hampshire on the NH/Massachusetts border, USA, and recently opened my second proboards forum (I deleted the first one after I closed an online group for an online game on-site). I'm 39, and, due to a physical disability I use a wheelchair (The Maniac ON WHEELS), and live with my parents.

I am single, and have two cats, Topper and Munchkin (both are tuxedos). I like movies, music (mostly Pop), movies, watching TV (self-professed Couch Potato), surfing the web and professional wrestling (I know it's "fake", people).

I recently decided to open up the Zone, which I created a few weeks after a problem with certain unnamed members, and Mods of another Proboards forum that is, in a lot of people's opinion, poorly run (it slowly went to being on life support over the last couple of years when it appeared people were being pushed away from controlling Mods and certain members). I promised myself not to become like the people running that board, and will only enforce the rules when absolutely needed.

I'm at 10 right now. One of the Mods, which I met on that board I left, doesn't think we'll get more than 15 members. I have to prove her wrong!

However, please note that this board is only meant to be used for introducing youself; not for advertising your forum. With that in mind, i have modified your first post.

As you have already found the ad' board, you can continue to sing your board's praises there.

I don't feel that I was advertising my board. I only mentioned it, and directed to my advertising board post. Therefore, I am not happy with you modifying my original post without informing me that you were going to do it. If you did inform me, I could have modified it MYSELF, if I felt it was advertising my board (which it was not directly doing so).

I mentioned it in passing, which is NOT an ad. I did not describe what the board was about in detail -- that's what the ad was about.

Consider this an official protest of modification of my original post in this thread.
