To say the least, I am a complete noob at coding. I began reading the useful links that were stickied in this board (thanks for posting that by the way), and I got as far as JavaScript. Unfortunately I had to stop. I just can't seem to grasp the meaning of it all. I got the basics. Elements, attributes, tags and all that. But when it starts getting into script, style, arithmetic and var.... my head starts spinning.
I'm not sure if I'm asking to much, or if I'm asking in the wrong board. But can someone take the time to help me through this?
I really want to learn, but learning something new on your own without someone more knowledgeable to help and guide you is difficult (for me at least).
Please and thank you.

It might help to try watching some screencasts instead of reading tutorials - there's a good series at nettuts that goes through the basics - I haven't been through it myself but I've found other screencasts there to be extremely useful.

Even further to that, just reading about the languages is one thing; practicing what you've read is the best way to really learn different languages.
Take codes that work and break them down into their parts, and make sure you know what each part does. When you need to write a code, use examples as a reference, but always write out your own code.
On w3schools.com, there are "Try These" examples where you can edit their codes in their windows and immediately save and see your edits; try playing with those as well.
If you haven't already, get an almost infallible grasp on HTML first, then CSS, then move on to Javascript. Don't move on to the next one before you have a solid grasp on the one before.

I am still not good at it but alot of what i learned i learned from when i requested codes. I knew what i wanted with the code and then i watched the coder make the code. iPokemon has worked with me lately and yes it does help but i think you should look at those things that the others posted.

Start with simple HTML tables. Then work your way up to replacing text somewhere, then a PM bar, then whatever else! For the record, I helped Night a little
