I am trying to put this picture as a background on my forums. http://i1212./cc456/unityamongfriends/resize.jpg But when I put it on as a background it shows the full picture and then repeats itself beside it. I have been looking at css codes but don't really understand what I am doing this is all new to me and everything I try doesn't seem to work can someone please help.

I think you inadvertantly posted in the wrong board but since you are here, so to speak, that image is a bit on the small side for a background. You may want to resize it to 1024 pixels width so at least it will look good on most browsers.

Put this in your global header:

The y will just have it repeat one below the other but it won't repeat across. X makes it just repeat across. If you don't want it to repeat at all change it to...
background-repeat: no-repeat;

You can also change the center top to center center which will put it center vertically and horizontally.

Another option would be to make it seamless, which, since I was working in my graphics program I went ahead and did for you. It is kind of cool that way (but you may not like it) and you wouldn't need that code I gave you.
