Ryan sits up in bed. He walks to the window and looks out. It's dark. After waiting to hear anymore sounds and finding none he returns to bed.

The night felt so long to the petrified villagers who took such extreme measures to protect themselves... every tick of the clock seemed to slow, every rustle signalled their impending doom, and every snore made them flinch in their sleep.

Suddenly, just before dawn, a single scream pierced the darkness, and those who had nodded off in their rocking chairs or beds sat bolt upright. Some nearly stepped in the bear traps they'd set up, or nearly shot themselves from the surprise.

Yet nobody wanted to go check it out, since the deadly, efficient forces of evil creeping through this village were too good at what they did, and it was too late for whoever had suffered a horrible fate that night.

When dawn rose, the villagers cautiously peeked out of their huts, gathering in the town square that still had poles and dry twigs piled up in preparation for a lynching. Friends checked on friends, while the more paranoid in the group stayed in the public eye for safety.

One villager had gone to check on Nightwalker and found him dead under the bed! Once the panic subsided, the villagers found out that he was deliberately poisoned with the cyanide commonly used for bedbugs. Who would do such a horrible thing to an innocent villager?!

The village mourned their loss, and gathered in the town square again to decide on who to bring to justice in repayment for the two lives already lost.

Thus begins Day 2. Eighteen players are left alive, so again, ten votes are necessary for a lynching or a "no lynch" decision.

This day ends 48 hours after the time stamp on my post, rounded to the next half hour.

So, it looks like the mafia was smart enough to not kill someone who suspected one of them. That doesn't give us much to work on. Hopefully the detective picked something up.

Not necessarily... it's a common formula purchased from the herbal expert in the next town over, so anyone could have committed the evil deed.

Detective confirmed I was a villager last night!

I'm calling out Syko for the guilty mafia member.

He never posted in the whole thread until Pat pointed out that mafia members were most likely staying quiet. Then he posted 3 posts later.

He also came online 30 minutes before we heard about the murder after we waited a really long night for something to happen.

I have 2 other suspects that I will keep secret for now until I gather more evidence against them. I don't want to offend anyone who might be a villager if I'm wrong.

I still think sign-on times and whatnot are rather silly reasons to suspect people if I'm dreading something, I'll avoid it for quite a while, which is often the case with others (I think?) xD

That's not a terrible theory, but I wouldn't say it holds water exactly. I mean, if you say mafia members stay quiet, it's in the best interest of mafia members AND villagers to be active, because villagers don't want to be suspected either.

Based on the first round, and hunches only, I have to say that I suspect Patsfreak and Lost to be mafia members.
