ANDREA TO ME:
This is a direct, unedited quote.
This is a direct, unedited quote.
Okay, I know that it's too late for Aether because a majority vote (evidently) has already been made. But, because I didn't have any chance to post in the thread my own opinions/information, I'll just give my two cents before it becomes officially nighttime.
(ME - But I do think it would be against the rules to post it. But anyway... continued!)
Aether: He had publicly announced his plan, which consisted of gathering a list of who was actually who and looking for duplications. Nonetheless, it should have come as no surprise when he PMed people asking what their position was - does it automatically make him mafia? Of course not, because you shouldn't have been surprised. (that does not dismiss him as mafia either, I'm just saying)
As the hermit... When Pat was still alive (actually, I think the day after Adam's lynching), I had PMed Pat with a question. After a very short conversation, he had informed that he had only received one PM and it was from someone (who he left nameless) who claimed to be the hermit. I asked if it was Aether, and he said yes. Before Aether was at any risk of a lynching, he had claimed to be the hermit to both myself and Pat. His reasoning behind who to PM, I have no idea.
This whole "big alliance thing" is yes, somewhat suspicious. But, that was not the intention of his plan either, nor did Aether give any indication that he was a part of a big alliance in his posts.
Also, why didn't anyone try to deny his position of the hermit? Simple - we could have asked the public to announce f they were the hermit. We gave Ren the opportunity, and yet we denied Aether. We're turning into savages. (Although, Ren did turn into mafia haha)
But anyway, people kind of stopped giving reason for why they were voting for people. What happened to the supposed crime watch? Anyway... Like I said, the list could be really suspicious.
(ME: The Trill part... I don't know if I would have made it public, but if Aether is the hermit, then I might tomorrow.)
Trill: We all already know the accusations on him - his secret PMs to a variety of people. Aside from the fact that we know he's messaged multiple people, I think we should be more focused on the content of those messages. For example, within the first couple of messages:
Now... I kind of ignored that until last night. He began pressuring me about my role, so I gave it up simple (villager).
And then... I asked him what his role was. Now remember, just as Phaelyn said and asked multiple times (all of which Trill ignored), he said he was a special villager.
First part but then it accidentally cut off:
That makes absolutely no sense. Who in the world would risk that? Especially someone who was "so afraid of getting lynched too early".
Speaking of which, he never said he was afraid of getting lynched. He always said to me, he was afraid of getting lynched too early.
Back to that PM above - a complete change in mood, especially for someone who evidently holds no special role. He is as much to blame about his desire to know people's roles as Aether is.
In General: Just one extra note... People were arguing (or maybe it was just Trill) that if somebody has a list of suspects and stuff that it should be made public, not hidden behind an alliance. Really? That's not realistic - public includes mafia's eyes, which means that if that list had details that were accurate, then the mafia could use it as well which would just put the village in danger. Trill wants leads for something, and it is either: special villagers and mafia members. I guess it depends on which side he's on.

So I kind of gave away that I was a *special* villager by my concern about a mafia member impersonating me. Are you anyone special?
Oops accidentally sent the last pm. ...... I intended to check the facts somehow to see if anyone I had a suspicion of, or anyone in the alliance could be lying. If I knew someone in the alliance was saying they're a role that someone else is, I'd try to reveal them publically. Thats why I left room open for me to claim a special role if I needed to say I'm a different role.
That makes absolutely no sense. Who in the world would risk that? Especially someone who was "so afraid of getting lynched too early".
