Well He IS flesh and bone... Where did you read that? i'm pretty sure that's in reference to the son of god, who was flesh and bone, a corporeal manifestation of 'god the father'. however, this statement is only valid if you believe christ is the messiah, the son of god, and in the trinity.

"For the LORD your God in the midst of you is a jealous God; otherwise the anger of the LORD your God will be kindled against you, and He will wipe you off the face of the earth." Deuteronomy 6:15how lovely. >_>;' Not the most reassuring thought for sure.

Not the most reassuring thought for sure. definitely. one of the reasons (though not the only, by far) i fell away from abrahamic religions.

I am still Christian, but I would be considered a liberal Christian.

Speculation? Really? Well why don't you explain why God is afraid of losing membership? What is he doing? Running a forum? If you sent all of your children somewhere far away and knew that many would never come back, wouldn't you be afraid for them? I don't think that example can be used for a fitting argument. God doesn't have to send anyone away, nor does he have to reject them as sinners or what have you if they worship someone/thing else. All such fears are only self-imposed, and demonstrate a profound character flaw.

No one can, except for God. HOW do you know WHY God doesn't have to send anyone away? The concept of the character flaw was human invention. Thus, what we think is way different from what God thinks.

The old, "God is too complex for us to understand, Atheist! On a completely unrelated note; we understand him and his goals so join us!" argument.

How do you know? That's the main problem, is you guys seem to think that you can determine the WHYs. No one can, except for God. HOW do you know WHY God doesn't have to send anyone away? The concept of the character flaw was human invention. Thus, what we think is way different from what God thinks. Where did it say that God purposely cast aside innocents from faith just so he could rebuke them later for lacking faith? The reasoning behind it doesn't matter since the fact of the matter is that no matter what reasoning God comes up with for that punishment, it was still decided before he purposely cast them away for whatever reason -- in the human perspective it's counter intuitive to his plan of having everyone 'believe'. And why would God be 'scared' for his children if you know he's omniscient? Fear arises from uncertainty. You advocate that omnipotence and omniscience is intrinsic to the conception of a monotheistic deity. God, being all knowing, cannot logically be fearful of anything insofar as the human understanding of his design which He enforces through his numerous divine interventions in the Scripture. The fact that you even speculate that God would be fearful is tantamount to suggesting that he has a flaw both in the metaphysical and human perspective! If God has fear, he can't be omniscient, yet His fear is the reason you cite for him instilling fear in his own subjects to coerce them to believe in Him. Fear does not an obedient subject make if you truly are an omnipotent ruler. I also find it hilarious that you forward your argument on the pretext that no one can understand why God does what he does, yet you ask us to imagine how God would feel if he 'sent' one of his children away. How does that even make any sense? And in any case, appeal to emotion is not a reason for forwarding a theistic argument outside of advocating pure faith.

God said we each make our own Salvation. I believe in god however only he knows who is going to him and who is not. What we do in this life is our nature to do so. each individual human being will believe what he believes. That is why god gave us free will. We as human beings can not say who will be saved and who will not be saved. Thats gods call.

Dancing Lock Guy, it's called ignorance and closing your mind. No offense, but I understand it perfectly. You don't because you are closing your mind to possibilities within religion. Just as I have been told to open my mind more, maybe you can as well. Your questions can be easily answered... from God. Just ask Him. I mean, if you really want to know, why not ask Him yourself?

I hate this line of reasoning. You either understand it or not. This pick and choose your argument is annoying. I thought nobody can understand God and things associated with him that he is mysterious and stuff. Now all of sudden it's easy It's like the interpretation of the Bible: it's clear cut when it suits you and badly translated when you can't explain all the stupid stuff it says. This is why nobody here takes you seriously Robert.... for things like these. You change your mind and your arguments faster than Lady Gaga changes outfits. And to top that off you never admit it. Like your whole "my parents told me", "my parents are my source(s) of everything" that when pointed out by me and others became "I never said that" almost forgetting there is a history of what you "say" Do yourself a favor and see this: from 1:34 www.thedailyshow.com/watch/mon-january-24-2011/24-hour-nazi-party-people
