Aether gave me permission to make this final post to end the game. Good job to everyone who figured it all out.
I know this is a monster post, but I have so much fun writing these stories. I hope you enjoy it.
"Oh boy, what a hectic day." Adam says to himself with a heavy sigh, plopping down on his bed. "We got another mafia member, but people keep looking at me so suspiciously, I don't understand. I'm only trying to help."
Adam lays in his bed, but does not sleep and sometime after midnight he gets up and decides to go for a walk to clear his thoughts. As he passes by an especially dark alley he hears someone call out to him.
"Psst, hey! Over here!"
Adam cautiously walks over to the figure hidden in shadow and replies, "Yes?"
"You are late."
Confused, Adam replies, "Late for what?"
"It's too bad what happened to The Snack today."
Still confused, Adam inquires, "What snack?"
The dark figure ignores him and continues, "Before The Asian went down, he set some things into motion. As you know, we are getting out of here, moving on to another town. They're on to us, they even know our secret group name, The Administration."
"I'm not following. What asian did what with the administration of who?" Adam says with a blank stare.
"Heh, they don't call you The Joker for nothing. You're a funny guy..."
Adam continues to stare blankly at the man in shadow.
"Anyways," the hidden man continues, "last night's target was protected, but we've got a plan in place to make sure she gets what's coming to her. And we'll be out of town before they can even find a single one of her teeth!"
"Wait, what? Last night's target? Who?" Adam asks, now very concerned as the strange conversation takes on a more sinister tone.
"You know, kid, that one lady, what's her name, Phaelyn."
"Last night's... Phaelyn... wait, just what type of organization do you think I belong to."
"You know kid, The Mafia... Anyways, we'd better go, that bomb is set to go off in the next 10 minutes or so. Don't want to be anywhere near here when-"
Adam takes off running.
"Hey, where ya goin?! That's the wrong way, you crazy kid!" The dark figure yells out before turning away and disappearing into the night.
Inside Phaelyn's house, she is fast asleep next to her husband, her cat curled up at the foot of the bed. Her three young children sleep soundly in another room.
*BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM* *BOOM BOOM BOOM* A loud knocking rocks Phaelyn and her family awake.
"Phaelyn, open the door! It's me Adam! Hurry! It's an emergency!" Adam yells through the door.
Phaelyn gets out of bed, putting on her robe as she rushes to her front door. She opens it hurriedly. Irritated she exclaims, "Adam, it's 2:00am! What on earth are you-"
"There's no time! We need to get you and your family to safety as soon as possible!" Adam yells, trying to force his way in.
"What are you talking about? Calm down!" Phaelyn yells.
"No, you don't understand! There is a bomb in your house set to go off any minute!" Adam exclaims.
"What?! Tell me, just how do you know that?"
"I know because, well, I just found out I'm part of the mafia."
"What do you mean, 'Just found out'?" Phaelyn demands.
"Listen, I trusted you before. Now you are going to have to trust me! Get everyone out now!!!" Adam yells as he pushes through the door.
Adam and Phaelyn rush to the other rooms and gather up everyone else. They hurry the children and their father outside. Just before they are a safe distance from the house, Phaelyn turns and yells, "Oh no! We forgot Blackie, our cat!"
Adam looks up with a glint in his eye. Memories from a distant time and a distant place flood his mind. He remembers back, deep into his psyche. He remembers an oath taken long ago. An oath. To serve and protect. Animals.
"Don't worry, Phaelyn" Adam says as he grabs her shoulders, looking her straight in the eyes, "I will save your Blackie."
With the quickness of, well... a cat, Adam dashes back towards Phaelyn's house, barges through the door, and begins frantically searching for Blackie. He hears a cat cry out from the second story and darts upstairs. He enter's the master bedroom to find a pure white cat clawing at the window. Adam leaps forward, seizing the cat from the window sill.
Adam catches a glimpse of Phaelyn down below, as she had recklessly followed behind him. She calls up, "That's him! Come down, hurry!"
But just as Adam turns to head out he hears *beep beep beep beep beep*
"Too late" he thinks to himself. Quickly, he flings open the window and tosses Blackie down to Phaelyn yelling, "Run!" Phaelyn, quickly takes off.
*beep beep beep beep*
"What a strange name," Adam says out loud to himself, "that cat didn't have a lick of black on-"
*BOOOOOOM*
The house bursts outward in a gigantic explosion, lighting up the sky. Fiery debris rains down on the surrounding buildings and out into the open streets. Citizens emerge from their homes and witness the complete destruction of their savior's home, but are glad to find that she and her family, including Blackie the ironically named pure white cat, are safe.
Phaelyn sheds a tear for Adam, her own savior, who she believes must now be in a much better place.
Adam wakes up in a cold sweat.
"Holy crap!" Adam moans, holding the side of his throbbing head as he sits up. Upon examining himself, he finds that his cloths are scorched and he is covered in ash. "Ugh! I definitely felt that one. Where am I?"
It is dawn and Adam realizes that he is laying on the cold pavement of a street near the outskirts of a foreign, very much run-down and seemingly abandoned town. He struggles to balance himself as he stands up and freezes at the sound of something nearby.
"Uuuuuuuggghhhhhhhhh!" *chomp chomp chomp* "Bwuuuuuuhhhhhh..." *nom nom nom*
As he regains his composure he looks to the direction of the noise and sees three ragedy figures leaning over what appears to be another person laying in the road about 30 feet in the distance.
"Hey! What town is this? Do you guys have a hospital? I need some medical attention." Adam yells out to the three figures.
Reacting to his voice, the three stooping figures jerk upright and twist their heads violently, glaring at him voraciously with their cold, dead eyes. The greater part of an arm falls from the mouth of one of the standing corpses.
Adam's jaw drops wide open, agape in horror.
"NYOH MY GAWD!"
And for the record, I didn't know about the admin mafia setup until I was forced into the game. Pat signed me up while I was super sick and out of the office, and I didn't even know I was playing until night 2!

Awesome post Adam! Finally, one of my conspiracy theories actually paid off. Do we still vote, or is that a suicide or final post? Adam just in case. Yay villagers!

Adam Awesome! everyone Else Good game! I assume Aether didn't randomly assign the doctor or detective either. I'm pretty sure that we had a mafia win in the bag if Aether had just committed and told you roles were randomly assigned. It is possible to randomly have all the admins be mafia. Essentially you guys asked, "Are these three people mafia?" and Aether said "Sorry if I tell you then you'll kill them." As for Adam waking up in the next town that's him waking up in the zombie game I'm creating and will be hosting. It will start around the second week of March so keep an eye out for the sign up thread. I'm taking a break from mafia for a while, to much backstabbing. The zombie game will be a cooperative game (mostly).

Sorry to everyone who thought that having all the admins be mafia was unfair. With the first four games being easy village victories, I thought I could set something up that would be more fair. Unfortunately, you guys have a propensity for meta-gaming, but thinking of the village in terms of admins and regular players.
Also, for the same reason, I didn't want to outright lie to the players by saying that they were randomly chosen. After Trill revealed his theory, my confirmation for or against it would have directly decided the game (again, due to meta-gaming). Also, the doctor and detective roles were randomly chosen.

I understand why you didn't lie to the village, but at the same time I think if everyone thinks about it, it would only be fair to state that the roles were random. In a random scenario, anyone could be mafia including all admins. By not stating whether or not it was random it was confirmed that yes, we had rigged the mafia players and it was an easy villager win. We knew that if 3 admins died that the other two would be suspected fairly quickly after that, where in other games you still wouldn't have leads if 3 mafia were dead. This made the game even more difficult for the mafia and required that we played the game perfectly. The mafia did a fantastic job of setting it up so that we all voted for each other at one point or another and we let the villagers make themselves suspicious through their own weird voting patterns. The fact that 5+ days into the game a No Lynch happened just shows that the mafia was going to win. I would like to say that in some respects it was unfortunate that we got the detective on day 2 since I had pretended to be the detective starting on day 1. We originally had broken into 3 different 'cells' in the mafia, with each group of 2 or 1 (in my case) working their own angles that would not overlap if you looked at the voting histories. We also decided early on we needed to sacrifice at least one mafia at minimum to make other mafia look innocent. Aether, can you confirm if you assigned the Detective and Doctor roles directly as well? We figured you did after we got the detective right away. We suspected the long-term mafia players of being the doctor and we didn't want a kill to go to waste, so we went for the lesser known players until the last night. Anyways, good game to all, it was a fun game. Thank you Aether for narrating.
