critique?

It's been ages since I've posted anything in GDD... Well, anything that I was actually proud of. Here are just a couple of things I'd like some feedback on. :'] You can either post here, or post on my dA if you have an account [Just tell me if you do xD]

First attempt at colouring a black and white photo - I think I may have gotten a little over-happy adjusting the black areas of her shirt. ^^;'

My first attempt at character art - Not really the very first, but it's the first attempt using a new program (Paint Tool SAI) to colour, first attempt at using a different lineart technique, and the first attempt at a character that I'll be using in an actual graphic novel. This started out as anatomy practice, so if I could get some feedback on that as well...? ^^;'

Photos 1 | 2 | 3 - in the order I took them from first to last. I'm starting to dabble a bit in photography, so could I get feedback on that, that'd be great. :3

Coloring Photo- Really good! I wouldn't have noticed if it was colored or not, tbh if I first saw it.

Character Art- Colors are good but maybe up the contrast a bit? It seems overall a bit flat. I see improvement on this in that dark brown sash thing to his right and the arrows, but maybe his skin tone, boots, and hair could be a bit more contrasted Showing where intense light is is key to making an object/character stand off the page... or screen XD

B/W Photo - I read the comments, I wouldn't really too much on the burn/dodge tool. There's easier ways using layers of certain colors to make highlights and shadows in the skin. Other than that, I like it. I hate dealing with the little strands of hair near the skin cause it's so hard to paint around them.

Character Art - I agree with Smangii, the skin and hair are the two things that big me the most, but that's about it.

Photos - I like all of them but #3. The color of purple and yellowish bugs me =X

Smangii - thank you! for the character art, I think the thing that screwed it up was the 'parchment' feel i tried to give to it. :<

GreenDayLuver - for the most part, I did NOT use the burn/dodge tool. I'm not a fan. They were only for minor touch up. as far as the photos.. >> the last one was unedited :[

B+W Photo---Drools....absolutely amazing.

Character---other than contrast, also amazing.
