Size/design and maybe a bit of coding

Hi, I'm working on a skin for my forum, and I'm drawing the background and buttons and things, so I wanted to ask a few questions about the size, and maybe a little coding.
I want a tree to be coming up from the left and then a large branch coming off for the buttons up at the top. I know to make this look good I'm going to have to make everything line up perfectly and have the right size. Also the main trunk of the tree will be a side table, and I want to make a banner so it has some branches coming off of the branch that has all the "home, profile, members" those sort of buttons.
Now where the coding comes in is I want the tree to be able to expand when I add more boards and things, but also have some grass at the bottom so the tree doesn't seem like it goes on forever. I wanted to know if anyone could help with that.
I can follow most tutorials, and I know a few simple coding things, like the basic HTML stuff.
Just to clarify, I am not looking for artistic help. I can draw pretty well. ^^; It's the coding and sizing I need help with

but not so sketchy XD and the way it's set up now, I'm not sure on how to work around the banner/logo, buttons and being able to scroll, like if there were more boards and the image was just that size, I would have it either repeat itself or I would have to keep adding more of the tree in it

This would be a lot easier if V5 were out, but it might be doable still lol. Take a screenshot of a board and draw over it as you want it and we'll see about getting it put together.
