Night 6 Recap

Darkness fell on Brindol. The quiet town more so now. At the mall a small band of survivors fought of a small contingent of the undead. Many had been weak and sick. Now many were recovering from whatever mysterious illness had plagued them.

A quarter mile away gunshots rang out in the darkness. Followed by the sound of a small explosion. Maybe the lottery winners weren't the only ones left.

It was a rough night and everyone worked purely on adrenaline and the will to live. After the zombies had been beaten back once again, wildmaven took inventory. Alex had batteries and Adam had found a police radio, but the batteries were dead. "Where's Adam," she asked, scanning the promenade. "Alex, see if you can find him and get his radio working." The gunshots they heard were promising. From what they had seen, zombies didn't have the wherewithal to shoot a gun. Of course, the owner of that gun may also be dangerous. Wildmaven didn't like the thought of someone stealing her comfy robe at gunpoint. "I think we should start moving again," she said, nodding.

We need people to defend South! Someone joining me defending East might not be a bad idea, either. Seriously, stronghold defenses need to better coordinated. It would be best if we came up with agreed upon, pre-designated defensive positions. 12 survivors, 4 positions to defend; no entrance should have less than 3 survivors guarding any position at any given time (2 if we know for absolute fact a single position has a very high probability of being attacked and may need extra personnel to defend it). Since no one seems to pay attention to this, I figure it's best if I play it safe/smart and reinforce defenses.

"I want to go on record as saying searching for other survivors is a bad idea," Derek shouted to wildmaven and Phaelyn as he watched them head for the door. "We have limited supplies, which may not be enough to sustain ourselves the way things are going, and we don't need to further strain resources. We also don't have guns, and I don't particularly feel like being robbed by someone who does."

He paused, feeling his words were ignored. "Wonen," he muttered to himself, "they just don't listen."

(Actually roleplaying this feels unnatural. >.>)

Day 7 Recap
A week of zombies had tired everyone out. The survivors woke up late. They checked their rations and found most of them were spoiled. Something was wrong with the food, certain rations were almost rancid. Some of the survivors thought this was the reason they had gotten sick.

Later in the day Wildmaven and Phaelyn decided they needed to find more food for the group. They decided to head North. They exited the west side entrance to the mall and made their way up the street. Across from the mall Phaelyn noticed a sign that read Brindol College. Maybe they would check that out later.

They located a restaurant (14) not to far from the mall. Wildmaven thought maybe they should see if they could find food to bring back to the mall. They attempted to go inside but found the doors were locked. They circled around looking for another way in. It was quiet and they saw no zombies. Eventually they decided they would need to break in. They decided to wait until they moved to the restaurant to prevent zombies from getting in while they were gone.

The sun was beginning to set when they headed back to the mall. Halfway back they heard the moans of zombies from up the street. They began to run for the mall.

Inside it had been a slow day, a few people found more items and most had rested. When it began to grow dark Crow became concerned that Wildmaven and Phaelyn weren't back. She went and waited near the West entrance. She didn't wait long before she heard screams. She opened the door. Both of the others were almost to her and they were being chased by 5 zombies who were sprinting after them.

Crow screamed for them to get inside. The ladies jumped through the door but not before one of the zombies tackled Phaelyn to the ground. Both her and the zombie sliding into the mall. Crow slammed the door the lock clicking into place. The other zombies pounding away. Wildmaven stumbled and regained her balance. Turning she saw the zombie on top of Phaelyn. Crow ran up to help and the zombie grabbed her arm and took a bite out of it.

Wildmaven took Phaelyn's oar and smashed the zombie in the head. It slumped to one side and stopped moving. Phaelyn also asn't moving, a pool of blood forming underneath her. Other survivors rushed to help. Crow sat crying holding her arm.

Night 7 Recap

Phaelyn awoke in a daze. It was dark. She looked around realizing she was laying in a makeshift bed near the center of the mall by Pepper's car.

She could hear sound of pounding coming from the West and North hallways. She didn't see any of her fellow survivors. Her shoulder hurt, when she reached to touch it she found it bandaged with strips of cloth. Then she felt her forehead. It was warm. She must be infected.

She found her oar laying next to her. Time to protect the mall, she thought to herself. She stood up slowly and then made her way into the darkness to defend West entrance.

Ok guys, we need to focus on building up our supplies. Everyone needs to stick together at the mall and we need to continue to search nearby. People heading out by themselves get attacked, infected, etc. This is no good. Searching nearby has a low chance of being attacked, and having a group makes it easier for us to beat back any zombies.

Healers need to coordinate to keep the infected healed properly. We need to find more med kits.

[Pepper]

Since finding her new 'toy', Pepper had been pretty useless. She'd spent a lot of time camped out in the comfort of her car, or near it anyways, making the most out of her discovery. Then there was this stupid illness... she really needed to get over it. She was useless, constantly resting day after day to no benefit to the other survivors. She was just a burden. Meanwhile her 'friends', or fellow 'fight-for-our-lives!!!!!ers' were being struck down not by illness, no, she was the only one still suffering from that, but infection. Yeah. Zombie infections. They were all zombifying as she rested over what, a stomach virus?

She couldn't let a stupid little virus get her down! Not when other people needed her, especially with their defences getting weaker and weaker at the moment. She wasn't dying- at least, she hoped not. She could afford a day to help the others and not put herself first. So, after a short rest in the front seat of her car, she climbed out and set to work reinforcing the defences.

(Sorry for my absence. I had to go to another city to get an MRI ((therefore the rushed post as I was racing through the front door that I had a typo when I said 'scout' instead of 'search', thanks for catching that Patrick)), and it turned out the WiFi hated me at the hotel. I'm back now!)

I wanted a medkit. Stupid bullets. She whispered to herself as he went between the others, healing them.

*After she made her rounds and readjusted Phaelyn's bandages, she headed out to look for a medkit*



Ryan Roos does 4 .45 Rounds mean they are like a magazine of bullets or are they 4 individual loose bullets? (The only "bullets" I understand are BB's, and paintball pellets)

everyone until we can properly coordinate the healers I will heal as many as I can for a day just so that more people get help. Also I'm good defending west unless it would be better for me somewhere else)
