Outbreak! (Ended)

Wildmaven slept so soundly it felt as if two days had passed. When she awoke, she quickly checked to make sure her items were still with her. Rubbing the sleep out of her eyes, she was happy to see that Ren had made it back to the fold. Tales of her exploits were the talk of the auto shop and Wildmaven prepared a special celebratory breakfast to buoy the spirits of the group. Still eyebrowless, she used much caution in the preparations. After breakfast, she put her weapon in the large pocket of her robe, the binoculars around her neck, and the rest of the items in the other pocket. "I'm going to try to find the helicopter drop," she said, patting the binoculars that bounced on her chest as she walked. She hoped others would join her.

I think I'll scout East, as I think we need to head a bit farther that way rather than north -- that's just me, though. I'd like if some others could come with me as well

Adam watched with concern on his face as Wildmaven and Phaelyn prepared to scout east. He walked over to Pepper and Etc. and asked, "Do you think merry 'Mav' and little 'Lyn' will be okay scouting just the two of them? All by themselves?" He smiled. "I was going to search nearby today, but I suppose I could go with them. What do you think?" His eyes squinted and his smile widened.

Adam the Master Chef decided to search nearby and defend south that night using his baseball bat. He also carried a lighter and 2-way radio.

Day 15 Recap

The survivors were trying to find a way out of town. Many were thinking of their families. A few hadn't considered that the zombie threat could be outside this hellish town, but anything was possible when the dead were walking around.

At high noon Phaelyn, Crow and Wildmaven set out east to find a safer place for the group and boy did they find it. The Kurzweil Asylum for the Criminally Insane stood with its 10 foot high wall with barbed wire encircling its main building, a large structure made of heavy concrete with bars on all the windows.

If the survivors could get inside there would be no way for zombies to penetrate their defenses. The trio fell back and told the others.

Derek spent the day rebuilding the supermarket. He was grumpy, Kim hung out in the managers office the entire day snacking and reading.

Night 15 Recap

The supermarket was burning. It had been a hectic night. Just after sundown a group of zombies swarmed the building. What happened next is unclear but survivors in the autoshop heard a number of gunshots and a small explosion. The next thing they new Kim and Derek were pounding on the door. Pepper let them in and saw nearly a dozen zombies in close pursuit. They moaned, howled and pounded the walls until the sun came up.

*When Etc. found the machete, she completely forgot to keep looking for a medkit and skipped back to the autoshop with a huge smile on her face*

Y'all I think we run this place into the ground finding as much as we can. Then move to the Asylum. Every night we can lock the infected into a room. During the day we can scout, go out looking for the helicopter package, medkit, etc. The Asylum would act something like a hospital.

I know we already finding nothing here, but even after we left the restaurant Ren and Pat kept finding more stuff.

Once we get down to 30 defense at the autoshop then we can move on. What do y'all think?

I think we maybe have one good day left of searching here. I personally think it would best for us to move to the asylum now -- I'm sure there's tons of stuff to find there, and the unlimited defenses are a plus -- but I'm cool with waiting for a day. I just sort of want to get to that helicopter drop, which is a little northeast of the asylum (though through all this, who wants to bet it's just a note or zombies or something bad, rather than things like medkits? ).
