Haiti and Japan: Who needs the donations more?

Like if you had a vast sum of money to actually make a difference in helping with each country's individual crisis, but could only give that portion to one other the other, which one needs it more?

I'm completely torn. == Haiti is a 3rd world country, but on the flipside Japan is having one crisis after another....earthquakes, aftershocks, and that tsunami.

I guess I'll do "eeny, meeny, miny, moe"....*plays*

Ok, I got Haiti so I suppose I'll give to them first. Then two weeks later or so, I'll give to Japan. Then New Zealand.

Why not choose the easier one and donate to both places? They both need help, and it seems like it'd be more nice to help both.

Probably Japan cause it's newer, and Haiti has been getting donations for awhile now

The immediate need is probably Japan, by way of being the most recent. Personally I would feel that rescue and short term restabilisation are more important than rebuilding, in situations where more than one event has taken place.
