Tabbed Table VS. Side Tables

Which would you prefer on a RP forum?
I've been thinking about this one for a long time Dx Which do you guys prefer?
This is important to the next skin I make, I want to know which looks better.

I prefer tabbed tables, even if I have nothing against side tables I feel they are dreadfully overused. If you want to take up less space for the information and such, you'll want a tabbed table, if you want to go for a more obvious and space-taking aproach, you'll want aide table. In short, both have advantages and disadvantages.

I prefer tabbed tables for my own sites.

True, tabbed tables for me. They store in more information in less space. Also helps to make the boards look neat and easy to design. Though side tables are more appealing when you know the way around it, which I don't DX.

Side tables however can do create amazing magic to your boards, IF you find the muse to design them heartfully, they will be better than tabbed tables. Either pick up someone who knows what to do with them and maybe you'll pass...

i think they're both good - it all depends on /how/ you design them to display info. no-one has any original ideas any more.

I use them both in my site, the tabbed tables make it easy to navigate and the side tables hold my motms and chat box with a few other things as well. Side tables are great if used for the right things, they also look great if you fix them up to mesh with the forum itself. Tabbed tables can be the same as well, images as background.. transparent options as well.. I use them both cuz I like the way it looks, its all about preference.. I'm waiting on a new skin to get the designs on the them both set up and looking great.. my 0.02
