Background question

How do I create just one background picture?

If I upload a picture as a background image I get multiple small images. I would like just one large background image.

My background image is a JPEG image. Where on the text you have kindly supplied do I paste my JPEG text?

I admire your patience Smangii.

Could you now tell me where I put the above text? Initially I looked at the Forum skin/colour section of the admin area but cannot see where it needs to go. Have looked at the background image bar but it doesn't loo like it will copy as you have written it.
