They've added a signature preview in the profile finally woot.
Not how I would have hoped for it to be/look, BUT it gets the job done perfectly fine/well, so i am happy. Screenies below:

I don't think so, no.
But with something like that, you'd simply be able to see in the last post column/section from the main page, or just simply check the board itself, it's not exactly difficult. One click to do.

I actually ask because I use bookmarks for email notifications. That way I get instant notification of posts (using Opera, which has my email run inside it).

I know I can check the board otherwise >.>

Just signed up a little while ago and awaiting my invite. Figured I would ask a few questions while doing so.

Is it possible to merge double posts? If someone should post 2 times in a row, will they simply be merged together, only showing the date/time of each post separately? I ask because I have a code that merges multiple posts together on my forum so that the signature is only shown 1 time instead of over and over again. It keeps the pages from being cluttered up by tons of the same images over and over without taking signatures away completely.

How does the system for being added to multiple groups work? For instance, if I have someone added as being part of 2 different groups, what would their "title" be for their member group? Would it say "Group A/Group B" to show they are in those groups? Can they be in more than 2? If so, how many?

Is there a way to allow certain members to see hidden boards without having to create an entirely new group for them to do so? For instance, if I wanted 1 normal member to see a board without allowing any others, could I just modify the board to allow certain members to see it by typing in their username to allow access?

Do you have to be logged in to use the shoutbox or can we set it up so guests may use it as well? Does it auto-refresh? If so, how often? Just when there is a new post or is it time-based like once every minute or once every 5 minutes?

Is there a way to apply "button" or "image" changes to all skins without having to manually edit each of them?

Are we able to merge 2/multiple PB forums together? If so, how does it work? Will one be the "main" board while the others are simply archived onto it?

Is there a "video" code so we can embed videos from multiple sites instead of only having a YouTube video embed option?

Will the "glow" effect on text work on Firefox this time around or is that simply something to do with FF and not PB?

Can we set up how we want our posts to look instead of having to add tons of code to it each time? For example, if I wanted to have my text centered, italic, bold, yellow, and in a different font than the default, could I set that up in my profile so it does that EVERY TIME I post instead of having to input all of that for each individual post?

That's actually pretty cool. I've not seen anything about this, but with template control it could be done with a code fairly easily, I think. Hard to know for sure until the stage where they work with coders to ensure they provide as much as they can.

As I recall, when a member is part of multiple groups, he/she will be able to choose a primary to show under his/her name. I don't think there's any hard limit to groups that a member can be a part of.

I don't know about this since admin features are still secret. However, if not, there are hidden groups: you could make one for a person and you'd be the only one who could see it.

I forget the details on this. I do know that there is a frequent auto-refresh for a time period after you post something, allowing for an impromptu chat session. There is also a refresh button which invokes this period without posting. I don't know for sure what the behavior is besides that.

Interesting question. I know they rebuilt the system as using themes, but not much has been explained.

You mean as in user1.proboards.com and user2.proboards.com? I don't see this being implemented. =/ If you'd really like it, you might want to explain possible uses for the feature.

The glow effect is IE only (as well as shadow and some others). There's nothing PB can do about it, and I doubt other browsers will adopt it unless it becomes a part of web standards (though I don't see why it would).

I want to say yes, but I don't actually see it. I thought I saw it as a confirmed feature. Maybe it was just a request? I don't know.

Thanks for the info snap. I'll explain a bit on the whole merging boards together.

I'm a big EFedder. For those who don't know what that is, it's wrestling roleplaying whether it be using actual wrestlers or created characters. But, as for how merging boards could come into play. Say there are 2 EFeds and the admins agree to merge the feds together into one big EFed or they run a storyline where one fed "buys out" the other, effectively merging them like WWE did with WCW back in 2002. Instead of the merged fed board remaining open with no activity on it or going into maintenance mode and losing all of the history written in that fed, it could be merged and archived into the "main" fed where people can still go back and read it on the active site.

Of course, this doesn't have to strictly apply to EFeds. I'm sure PBs are used for tons of different reasons and there could be a million other examples on how merging 2 boards together could be beneficial. If not in V5, perhaps V6 on down the road?
