alright a few things.


i love how this photo was done but i don't know how to add the effect on the bottom layer of it. by effect i mean the slightly old photo look to it. anyone know how?


Second question on gimp how do you edit text font? i dont know how

i believe the "old photo" look was done by adding textures (can be found at various websites, like deviantart) and giving the layers different blending modes for each.

also, to edit text, you have to go to your text layer, click the text button, then click inside the text. a pop-up with your text will pop-up, and you can edit that. if you wanted to change font or text size, you can just click ok/cancel on the pop-up and edit them afterwards. does that make sense? i think it might sound a little jumbled =P

haha im not realy getting what your meaning to do with the text. im just like O.o haha. i can get how to add the text and such but it just comes out in a generic ugly looking font.

i actually pmed the girl who made the signature above and she sent me the link to the texture layers she used and this is what i got

OH. I thought you said to edit the text. to edit the font, you just click the Aa and a drop-down list should pop up. clicking on one of them should change the font.

also, i don't know how you would get yours looking exactly like hers. i'm not an expert, but yours looks pretty good. =P
