That rule has always existed. It was only enforced more when PBV4 was released, & all members are required to enter their birthday when registering. The entire site will be deleted, & you can't get it back. Sorry, rules are rules. If even one member is underage, whether they're an admin, moderator, or just a member, that's a violation of TOS & warrants closure of the forum. You are implying anyone can go to any site they wish....join..... then post they are under 11.... and watch it get deleted. If even one member is underage, whether they're an admin, moderator, or just a member, that's a violationI'm sure proboards did not intend for the rules to be interpreted that way. (if they do allow this loose set of rules, so they or anyone can exploit deleting boards, correct me plz, so I can cancel payments on my 13 ad free boards.) A member who is underage or just posting TOS violations does not warrant a deleted board. Admins cannot be expected to police a forum 24/7, but must comply with the rules all the same.....therefore some leeway is warranted, so the admin can clean up things from his/her absence. Admins who knowingly, violated any rule, or allow the violations of the rules by members or guests, is an admin whose actions warrant a deleted board.

I'm sorry to intrude, but I have a question about this situation. What if a member's age is below 13, but the Admin doesn't know about it? Why should the site be deleted if the Admin (owner of the site) doesn't know? Maybe the young person's account should just be deleted....?

Jst to clarify this
If an admin knows nothing of the violation, the most they would get is a warning to delete the member.
if the admin knows and actively moderates their board (deletes the member) nothing will be done.
if the admin knows and does nothing, or encourages members underage, the board WILL be deleted.

I personally Think people under the age of 16 or 17 should not be allowd to run forums. I know two 15 year olds who own forums, and both have had the power go to their heads, and haved acted far worse than 13 year olds.

Thats true, but isn't it also true that no matter how old you are, you can have a different level of responsibility? I do understand the rule that says no one can even be a member of a message board, its the law.
Your age is different from if you being responsible enough to run a forum. I'm 13 and have been running forums since April. I may be young, but my responsibility is higher than my age. I run 3 forums right now, and I'm a great administrator. I'm just trying to say that just because your under 16 or 17 doesn't mean your an immature brat. Everyone is different. Your maturity level shouldn't be judged by your age.

If the member is staff, that is grounds for instant forum deletion, since the admin has consiously made that member staff.
If a random member signs up saying "im 11 im 11" that is not grounds for the forum to be deleted, since the admin may not know
If however the admin has replied to that thread, and the member still exists, thats also proof they are allowing it, and again grounds for deletion

What's wrong with Christmas colors? I have a Holiday skin at my board, though it's not the default, thus it's optional. I personally don't agree with this particular law 100%, not that I disobey it: I was thirteen 9 years ago, and didn't even have an inkling of understanding about the internet. That is probably why the law is in place: to protect the uninformed. The only reason I disagree somewhat is that a few twelve-year olds are just as mature as someone older: although there'd be no way to seperate the mature from immature, thus the law.

It is very true, the more mature you are the better, it does not matter what age
