Photoshop - Slice tool

In recent years, I always considering slicing a thing of the best... until today.

I was designing the UBBC icons for here and was getting fed up with the same monotonous task of saving them as jpegs.
This involved cropping each icon, selecting save as, changing the file type to jpeg each time and repeating for the next icon.

Then it came to me, why not slice them, and save them as individual images.
Has anyone else ever considered this ?

Slice comes in very useful for UBBC. I've always used it. Bear in mind there's a gap between the top and bottom rows, and copying and pasting urls is a pain, but much easier.
