I know this seems a bit outdated but I've recently acquired Photoshop CS3 and I'm trying to find books for the program through my library but the only copies they have are mostly billed and what not. Because of this I checked out a Photoshop CS4 book. What are the main differences between CS3 and CS4, I learned on CS3 and just want to make sure that this book I got to help out isn't going to completely mess me up. Are there any tools I should watch out for or layer differences, just things that I shouldn't try in CS3 that would be better for CS4.

If you're doing the basics there shouldn't be too much of a difference. CS4 was more of an interface change than CS3, so you might not be able to find the tool you're looking for so easily, but CS3 has got most of the stuff you'll want. tv.adobe.com/watch/benchmark/photoshop-cs3-vs-cs4/ - that's what Adobe say.

Thanks! That helps a lot! Sounds like a good bet to be able to read this book.
