Need feedback on skins (multiple skins involved)

At the moment, our forum is having a bit of difficulty when it comes between deciding between two skins. First, the skins. This is the 'old' skin:

This is the 'new' one:

danballforum.proboards.com

The new one is much easier to work with and loads much more quickly, plus it offers multiple color choices for those that dislike brown. However, many members have found the old one preferential. I know that the visitors of this board are good at judging skins, so I think that it would be good to get an opinion from you.

The old one, ironically, has a much more modernized feel to it, and is much easier to navigate. I noticed no difference in loading time.

On the other hand, the newer one is larger and very easy on the eyes. I would go with the old one.

Pros of the old one:

• Looks more professional
  

Cons of the old one:

• Needs a new topic icon to match the others
  
• Fixed width may cause issues for those with a smaller screen res
  

Pros of the new one

• Fluid width so will work with most screen resolutions
  
• Per OP's words, members can change colors
  

Cons of the new one

• Looks a little old fashioned & less professional although not bad. Maybe a little narrower width in a percentage (too keep it fluid) to make it look sleeker and more modern.
  

The load time is almost exactly the same. I checked it.

Since the colors are almost the same and the new gives members an option to colors, the design is fluid, I'd have to go with #2 although I like the look of the old better.

A third skin has come up, and I figured that it might be better to use this old thread rather than create a new one as far as skin judging goes. The third skin (for comparison with the other two) is here:

It's still under construction, but my understanding is that all that is left are a few color adjustments and the removal of certain parts (such as that white bit on the front). The details on the top and the bottom relate to the games that the forum is based upon.

Any particular opinion when compared to the "new" skin above (link is danballforum.proboards.com/ for reference)?

It looks very nice, and very professional. One thing I, personally, would change are the menu buttons, as the font looks sort of out of place. Additionally, the welcome table needs to be fixed so that there's not just a random white space there.
