Just tried registering didnt work at first but tehn i tried this richardabsbreen.proboards67.com/index.cgi?action=register&NOHEADERS=1Worked fine, btw you now have a user called bob that youve got to delete as that was the account i used to test this. Check your codes to see if you can see any errors, if you cant then wait here for a more experienced coder than myself or post in code support Good luck

hmmmmmmmmmm admin headers and footers, global header
then put the following
Users of this forum we apologise for the following but this situation should be rectified soon, for the moment when registering please use the following url http://richardabsbreen.proboards67.com/index.cgi?action=regsiter&NOHEADERS=1
Then once the problem has been resolved here you can take it back out your footers.

ok, I seemed to be having the same problem with my board. A few new members have sent emails telling me that they joined but were not yet "approved." I thought that there was some kind of admin function that required me to approve members, but I haven't seen anything of the kind.
However, these same people who say that they are not approved and not able to post appear in my members list.
Is this the same problem? Or is it something different? I put that html code on my global headers just in case it was the same problem, but I'll check back here in case it isn't.

Please create your own thread and not hijack another members thread., Your problem may sound familiar but really it's not. Read the support rules sticky thread. Sounds like your forum has "limit registration" enabled. So to approve members now you need to go into admin panel and look under "manage members" and click on a link that says "view pending accounts" that's where you can approve your members. To disable limit registration look under general settings in admin panel and for "limit registration" set that to NO. Make sure you approve the members though.

Actually, I figured it out.
And sorry, I didn't mean to "hijack" anyone's thread. I thought I was having the same problem, and people usually get annoyed when one starts a new thread on something that already HAS a thread.
I wasn't aware that I had to approve members, as I have around fifteen members who post all the time, and I've never approved a single one of them.
Anyway, it's figured out.
