I want to be able to display a custom message on the REGISTRATION page.
I've got a private forum limited to class members, and people are signing up using strange names and not putting their real names anywhere, and I have no way of figuring out who they are.
I want to post a message warning them that if they don't register with their real name, or offer any way for me to verify that they're in the class, their account will be blocked.
It would also be nice to be able to REQUIRE people to enter their real name and other fields when they register (in this case).

Greetings, There is a feature to include custom registration messages, however I do not recall if these are on the registration page or on the page after it. The thread with this information was in the closed beta features list. - RedBassett

You could have the "register" button link to a custom page (modify the template to do so), & i believe you can choose what page members go to after registration.

Currently there will be a way for a custom page to be placed after registration. You could notify members that their display names must be their real names there.
Otherwise you'll need to create a work around on your forum before registration.
Because v5 registration is secure, it is no longer on the forum, but on ProBoards itself. No one will be able to modify these pages in any way. We do this to protect our users.

Sorry, but I don't see what the problem is with letting board admins display a message on the registration page, or as a popup or interstitial page before they get to register.
It's kind of like custom Terms of Service. What's so problematic about that?

As Ryan stated, the registration page isn't on your forum, it is on the global registration page for global accounts. - RedBassett

Perhaps the ability to have a pre-registration page would be an acceptable compromise?
Mind. I know this could be done with the custom pages already, perhaps just in a more intuitive way for this specific thing.
