Hey all, I have multiple questions and didn't know exactly what to title the thread so I'm sorry in advanced if the subject is a little vague. Anyways, I was curious:
1. Will we still be able to use the current codes that are here on Support in V5, or are the coding styles / formats going to change completely and therefore any codes we have on our sites now won't be usable?
2. If so, what format of coding will be used in V5? Will it be more CSS involved other than html, or something else?
3. I have multiple skins on my forum at the moment, and the coding used to style it is a mixture of html and CSS. Will my site still be able to function in a similar way when Version 5 comes around, or will I need to start thinking about redesigning it altogether?
I hope my questions are clear, if not feel free to ask for clarification. xD Thank you for your time!

I hope my questions are clear, if not feel free to ask for clarification. xD Thank you for your time! Greetings, I'm not sure if all the answers to the questions got reposted form the closed beta board… 1) Access to the page coding of the forum has been opened up, and many new features have been added. As such, many existing codes will not be needed. Most other codes rely on the layout fo the site, and will most likely not work. ProBoards will remove existing headers/footers when the conversion happens for a forum, but will back up the headers/footers so you can still access the coding you have there. 2) As mentioned above, you will have access to the raw HTML templates of the site. CSS and Javascript can still be used. 3) I do not know if any official announcement has been made regarding current skins, but most likely a conversion option will be available. Remember also that there will be a period of time for you to convert your forum, it won't happen over night. This will give you a chance to experiment and test before your forum is forced into conversion. - RedBassett

Thank you for answering so quickly. It's nice that we'll be able to test V5 before actually transitioning the site to it. :] Makes the whole process less overwhelming.

And remember that the staff of ProBoards will want to make sure that your upgrading is as smooth as possible. The last thing they want is to loose a million users because of issues with themeing.
