Is there any thought into having a cover Photo for the very top of a forum, similar to what facebook has. This would really jazz up a forum.

Or even better, for the profile? When you read a thread you just see the avatar, but when you click on the profile you see their cover photo, if they chose one.

This already exists... in v4. And in v5. The beta board has a banner right now. And you have control over it's height. Cover photos weren't invented by Facebook. Edit: robert - All achievable with codes or template modification. Or even better with the new plugin system. You could even give users control over their profiles with the right plugin.
