I think I have actually asked this before, and I have for some reason "a week / 7 days" in my head. I'm not sure if that's for something else why I have that stuck in my mind, but..
If I left my notifications and didn't read them, because I know where I have been quoted etc. or just because I can't be bothered... How long do they remain as "new" ?

It's either 30 days or never but I can't remember right now. I'll need to go searching for the answer. Check back later.

If it is 30 days, can it be reduced to 7 days maximum ?

Okay found your answer, they never expire.
Why would you only want it to be 7 days? As soon as you click to the page they are all gone. So why do you need them to evaporate after a period of time?
