will i be able to just make an area in the admin area or with each template for the header area globally or each board? to put site info or news or whatever, or will i have to make tables

You can use headers and footers the way they are now in v4 or you can use the new plugin system. The plugin system will make updates way easier to organize and execute.

You can use headers and footers the way they are now in v4 or you can use the new plugin system. The plugin system will make updates way easier to organize and execute. Like, for example, let's say you have an update table on your forum and you have it in the perfect place and everything. But you need to update it without going through all of the cluttered codes like you do now. Rather than having the necessity of pressing CTRL + F and going through all of the results, you would simply select the correct plugin and alter whatever you wish.

And then use a spiffy interface to update it instead of editing code. Wouldn't a text area be nicer than a code block lost in your headers? Plugins let you do this.
