ProBoards has not released how the backups will work, however they have confirmed that forum admins will have backup options (beyond ProBoards' internal backups that already exist). I would hazard the guess that they will not charge for forum backups.

My assumption is that they'll work in the same way as they do today, if you're speaking of header/footer backups.
