Background Transparency

Hi All

I'm brand squeeky new to this, so you will have to dismiss my complete stupidness.

Here's my forum.... techtonic.proboards.com

It looks ok (I think), but I would like to have the banner transparent (which it is) but the other fields semi-transparent i.e. Info, Forum names etc...

Also... The tiling on the global background is tiresome... is there anyway I can spread it across the page (I realise that all monitors are different and this is a well documented issue). I have tried to make the bg huge (its not important that we see all of it), but nothing seems to work. The alternative of course is to centre it and bring the text in to fit within the background, leaving black edges, which I don't mind. Photobucket is my weapon of image storage and resized the image i uploaded quite drastically... Here's Photomessets image info...

Ok... I sorted the tiling/background size issue. Photobucket has a default upload setting, which can be changed to allow larger images.

Still can't get the semitransparent boards to work. The code I have makes everything (including the banner opaque).

Half a box of creeping charlies now.... )

Semitransparent boards sounds like more of a coding issue - you might want to use the coding support boards for that one.
