I have a Proboards Forum - my friend has a WordPress blog. We're promoting the same news. My friend says that a blog enables better 'sharing' features than my Proboards forum.
I want to prove her wrong, but currently it's very labor-intensive to share articles and links with Proboards. On my forum, being first on the trigger with news is essential - will this become easier (i.e., more 'Facebook-like') with the new format?

Have you tried to link your social network accounts to your forum account? Just click the 'share' button at the top right of your topics and you can easily share on Facebook, Twitter, etc.

Yes, I know I can share from Proboards to Facebook - what I'm talking about is sharing an outside article to my Proboards forum.
Currently, in order to share an article on Proboards, I have to copy and paste the title, then copy and paste the link, and then give my members a little synopsis of what the article is about to entice them to check out the link and read the article.
On Facebook if I copy and paste a link, it automatically pops up the title of the article, a snippet of the text, and a thumbnail photo.
Anything like that coming in the Beta version?

We do have a nice WYSIWYG editor when you are posting that will help you insert links, but we do not scan the pages you are linking to and automatically generate thumbnails.
