Something that made me like vforums a lot was the fact that you could have seperate codes for seperate skins. Right now there is no easy way to do that.
For example, I have a code that changes the color of my link hover color, right now, if I put it in my headers and footers, it changes that for all skins. I'd like it so there would be seperate headers and footers so that I can have Skin A have one link hover color and Skin B have a different one.

Past reports from Ryan Roos told us that each skin/theme can be completely customizable and different from each other. Nice, huh?

It will be possible to make codes run only on certain skins. I don't remember how easy they made the process, but it should not be painful.

Plugins are the ultimate answer to this problem. You can decide which themes they appear on. So different codes on different themes. Headers & footers are still limited in the way, which is one of the many reasons we want to encourage plugin use in v5.
To show how powerful plugins will be check this out. Not only can you specify that you want a certain code to run on certain themes, but once you've done that you can also set permissions. So you can make it so the code only appears for certain users on certain themes. You can't do that with headers & footers.
