PHPBB Like Announcements

I would like to see an announcements system like what PHPBB3 has on Proboards. For all of you who don't know, in PHPBB3, you can make an announcement global meaning it will show up at the top of every board or you can put an announcement in one board.

Example, Clarification:
With a system like this, you could put an announcement in only 'General V5 discussion or you could make an announcement cover all of Proboards Support.

This could easily be a plugin. I'll even make a note of it in our plugin list. Maybe it will be included at launch, or just available for installation from ProBoards. We aren't really into copying features, but if you think that a board or forum wide announcement system is a good feature we can certainly consider it. We're not going to look at theirs, but we'll take your idea as the basis for our own system. Thank you.

I found it useful when I had a PHPBB forum. I'm not looking for a 'clone'. I am just looking for something similar. Wow! V5 is going to have plug ins?

Patrick's video shows how simple it can be to use plugins. And a plugin can be made to do nearly anything you can think of on the forum.
