Since the Sept 9 update I haven't been able to log into v5 with my Support forum account (celestial8888) because "it is taken". I'm now able to get in under my email and password with a new username (celestial8889) but want my real account back. Can I add it somehow?

Celeste, some of us had to do password resets to get back in. Have you tried that on your original account? I don't know if that would even help (or work), given the error you're getting, but you never know.

Celeste, try logging out fully, then go to the Forgot Password option and enter your username. Let me know how it goes.

Thanks, Patrick. With some weirdness (no captcha image, for example) it let me connect celestial8888 to my global account. My new celestial8889 is also there. So far so good. When I go to v5's home page, it asks me to login as usual. I pull up the login page, my email is good. I retype my password to the new one and I am taken to the "Select Account" page (https://www.proboards.com/forum_submit/login). I select celestial8888 from the three choices (including 'Guest') and it takes me back to the login page (https://www.proboards.com/login). I resubmit my email and password and get this: Useful V5 Beta Links
Beta Forum
Try logging in as if you came from the V5 test forum I choose 'Beta Forum' and it takes me to the v5 home page, still listed as a guest. Rinse, repeat ad nauseum. By the way, I have computers using Windows XP and Windows 7, both running Firefox 15.0.1. Got the same results with both. |

Okay, I think I see where the issue is. I know Martyn was working on the login system on Friday, and I'm not sure if the new secure server URL is 100% ready to go. Hopefully we'll have an update in the next week or two that will clear all of that up.
