Please move this, or correct me if I didn't put it in quite the right place. On my forum, Diversity Online. I want a design that looks professional, neat clean, easy to read, and is attractive to both sexes. I also want to re-code everything to have a concise, easy to navigate and attractive layout. My problem is that I'm really weak in both of those areas. I'd even pay someone a little if they'd take on this project for me, and I'd be happy to hire them on as a moderator for sure.

I don't know exactly when version 5 is coming out, but it appears that it's going to be around December of this year. Knowing that, I would wait because if you don't have much experience it could take you until then to get the forum the way you want it.
However, if you pay someone who has experience and has the time to work on it, then it might be worth it because those designs that you linked to wouldn't be complicated for someone who knows what they are doing. You would have to pay them again to convert it to v5, though.
My advice would be to wait because there is going to be a period of time where you will be able to have your forum privately converted to version 5 for you to work on, and I believe that is before December but don't quote me on that. I do know that you'll be able to work on your version 5 forum copy for a few months in private, and so I'd recommend you spend all of your energy on that when it becomes available soon.
