Global Account PMs

If we have several accounts linked to a single global account, will there be any way to have the PM inboxes linked as well? For example, if you read a PM distributed to all members of the site on one account, will it show up as "Read" for your other linked accounts? Also, if somebody sends a PM to one account, would you be able to read that PM on any of your other accounts as well?

I might be overthinking this, and PMs go by global accounts in v5 anyways, rather than individual accounts xD

I'm very sure you can't do this.
It will only show in one account.
Although a good idea in my opinion, the fact it takes what, 2 clicks to switch accounts, makes it super easy for you to quickly check if your other account(s) have new PM's etc.


It's only really a problem if you have multiple accounts - my definition of multiple, for this, would probably be something like 5-10+.

This is actually one of the ideas we have for the Global Profile. It hasn't been coded yet so I can't say if it will make launch or not. It is a feature we wish to have, but it will depend on how we end up implementing it. We'd like to be able to notify you of new messages at forums in the very least. We have discussed a Global inbox in detail before.
