Is it possible to simply opt out of v5, leave my boards as they are and still receive support?

Yuku has global accounts. I can log in to any yuku site. This is unacceptable.

Accounts at each forum are still effectively separate, there is just a single login.
You will have different profiles at each forum, different display names etc. The only difference from the current system, is that you only need to remember one username/password combo.
Forums are still segregated from each other.

Then how will it be different from say ... EZ Board global or yuku global? Both of these will accept my username and pass to login to any board they host.

I am unaware how those services operate so I don't know what the comparison is.
You are not automatically a member at other forums just because you log in. You still need to register at the forum (though this can be as simple as a single click)
Forums with limited registrations on, or approve registrations still have those processes. Just because you are logged in globally, does not mean you have "logged in" access at every forum.
Is that what your concern was?

That is my concern with global accounts. I know from experience on other global boards I can log in, view, read, surf, post as a member. Will this NOT be the case with Probaord Global accounts?

You can only act as a member of other forums if (like now) you register.
The only difference between now and v5, is that the registration process will be much more simple as you already have an account with us. You wont need to enter passwords again, email again etc.

The idea that any single person can post on my forum simply because they're a registered Proboards member is frightening. And completely insane.
Thank god Proboards didn't that this approach.
