This may seem like a silly idea, but here I go anyways:

Can there be a way to block a certain E-Mail from signing up to a board?

Currently, a friend of mine is planning a new board for when V5 is released however, the plan is to advertise in areas that will allow for some unsavory people who have trolled in other forums she's been on to find the address to the new forum. My friend would like to keep these people off the new forum, however she doesn't have the IP addresses of said people, only their E-mails. I know it seems odd to block people before they even become members, but this forum will be strictly anti-bullying/trolling.

Also, will the Reserved Names option we have now in V4 still be around in V5?

In the current ProBoards software you can already ban an email address, meaning anyone creating an account with that email will be unable to login. Same will be true in V5.

RedBassett is correct. You can do this in v4 and v5.

oh I thought they had to sign up first in order for their names to be banned. but thank you.

You can ban an email, IP or username regardless of wether it is currently connected to an account.
