I can't add in anything like that, that would be something that ProBoards would need to add as a component for us.  However, HTML is supported, so if you know that, then you can do anything you like, as I'm sure I allowed HTML.

Yea, I'm using lots of html in there.  I guess the 1 really bother is no text wrapping... ugh that's painful to code in that box when you have to scroll.

For text wrapping, you can apply in line css (i.e word-wrap: break-word), if that's what you mean.

I mean text wrapping in the dit box of the plug-in as you type.  I typing it all out in an editor and then cut/paste, which is ok, but extra steps.  Thanks

You can skip this release if you don't wish to lose your messages and gain the additional 2 features...

In this release:

- If you do not enter a title, it will just show the message container and add rounded borders top left and right, and a border at the top.
- Option to disable the message. This is so that if you don't want to lose the message content, instead of deleting it, you can disable it now.

Very nice!  Just installed it.  The Enable/Disable feature alone is worth redoing the messages.  Thanks

The code is working fine for me, except when I put in names into the "Show Message For" area... If there are any names in there, it won't show anywhere (Not for the people whose names are listed, not for those that aren't.) I'd love to be able to have member-specific messages, that's the one reason I wanted the code on our board.

*I have toggled 'logged in' and 'everyone', although I haven't tried 'guest' (As that would make no sense...?)

*I am currently using Chrome 24.0.1312.69 on Edubuntu 11.10, but I was using Firefox 18.0.1 before, and it didn't work either (Actually, the whole 'form' was messed up, but I think that might be my computer there). The admin I work with uses Windows 7 and Firefox 18.0.2, and it wasn't working for her either.

*The site this happened on was brra.proboards.com/.

Thanks for letting me know. I've been able to duplicate the bug, and have fixed it.

In this release, I have a fixed a bug with permissions on where to show the message (i.e for a specific user, in a category, or board). If you don't use those features, then don't worry about updating for now.

is it possible to have the message disappear after a member reads it? im currently using it on my board to get news to my admins and moderators but it takes up alot of space if its constantly there just curious... if not i can just disable it after a certain period of time

Agreed!  Love this plug-in!  I just wish the text wrapped inside the text box as you type.
