Thanks guys, appreciate the comments. DeltaDart, Have you tried asking it in the request feature board? ProBoards can easily add some CSS for it to word wrap.

Thanks guys, appreciate the comments. DeltaDart, Have you tried asking it in the request feature board? ProBoards can easily add some CSS for it to word wrap. To wrap it inside the text box you use? I can't think of anywhere else it doesn't wrap... I'll have to look closer. EDIT: Never mind, I wasn't even thinking. Yea, the Style Sheet CSS editor doesn't wrap. Yea, sounds like a request coming.

Hi rodesigner, These can certainly be added in, but the problem I have is that the group and rank is not searchable. It would need to be a field where you enter the ids of the groups and ranks, but just separating them with a comma. Would would be nice if is ProBoards added them into the "Search Forum" component. Am going to see if there has already been a request for it, if not, I may request it. I do intend to support a few other features (i.e show message based on post count). This will come in a future version. I think what people are after the most right now, is a way to hide the messages.

rodesigner not trying to be a grammer nazi here.... but i see your id:6 and think is that supposed to be ORGANIZER? just wondering no prob, perry... the s or z is switchable, i have half brits and aussys in that clan. to you the z looks missing to them it would be wierd without the s. the "english ""language is just plain wierd no matter what. i thank you for the caring eye. (as far as i am concerned spell it phon-ic-ly and all's good lol)www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/organiser?show=0&t=1360906327or·ga·ni·sa·tion or·ga·nise,or·ga·nis·er Definition of ORGANISATION British variant for oganization, organize, organizer Origin: of ize a verb-forming suffix occurring originally in loanwords from Greek that have entered English through Latin or French < Late Latin -iz?re < Greek -izein; replacing Middle English -isen < Old French -iser < Late Latin, as above (if you can make half the people happy, half the time, your doing amazing - more then half the world would even try)

Save the 's' Anyway, has anyone managed to put tables in this plugin without big blank space appearing above the table? (but within the message box?) I currently have my header table in the headers of the sidebars plugin, but would really like the flexibility of having it in a global message instead. However I get huge blank spaces above a table tag, even if there's no blank spaces or anything above it in the message box. I've enabled it here for folks to see: solariaweyr.proboards.com/board/57/old-announcementsThis is the code which starts on line 1 of the message box: <table width=100%><tr><td width=50% align=center colspan=3><u>Weyrling Lessons</u></td><td width=50% align=center colspan=3><u>OOC Topics</u></td></tr> <tr><td width=50% align=center colspan=3><div style="float:left; width: 49%"><b>Seniors</b> <i>Tylaith's P8 T8</i> <a href=""></a> <a href=""></a></div> <div style="float:right; width: 49%"><b>Juniors</b> <i>Ceocayath's P8 T9</i> <a href="http://solariaweyr.proboards.com/thread/7201/junior-weyrlings-month-4-lesson">Month 4 Lesson</a> <a href="http://solariaweyr.proboards.com/thread/7205/dragon-boats-junior-dragons">Dragon Boats</a></div></td> <td width=50% align=center colspan=3><a href="/index.cgi?board=announcements&action=display&thread=1767">Gossip and Rumours</a> <a href="http://solariaweyr.proboards.com/thread/7209/junuary-2013-monthly-summary?scrollTo=56774&page=1">January Monthly Summary</a> <a href="http://solariaweyr.proboards.com/thread/6645/qt-january-2013-orliel-fgon?scrollTo=55932&page=1">QT January 2013 - F'gon and Orliel</a> <a href="http://solariaweyr.proboards.com/thread/7211/qt-february-2013-nominations">QT February 2013 - Nominations</a> <a href="http://solariaweyr.proboards.com/thread/7210/senior-weyrwoman-discussion">Senior Weyrwoman Discussion</a></td></tr> <tr><td> </td></tr> <tr><td colspan=6 align=center><u>IC Topics</u></td></tr> <tr><td width=33% align=center colspan=2><b>Solaria Weyr</b></td> <td width=33% align=center colspan=2><b>Ketrin Hold</b></td> <td width=33% align=center colspan=2><b>Mathon Hold</b></td></tr> <tr><td class=small-text width=100% align=left colspan=6><i>Group Topics: Everyone join in!</i></td></tr> <tr><td width=33% align=center colspan=2><i><a href="http://solariaweyr.proboards.com/thread/7212/momentous-move-weyrling-graduation">Weyrling Graduation!</a></i></td> <td width=33% align=center colspan=2><i>None</i></td> <td width=33% align=center colspan=2><i>None</i></td></tr> <tr><td class=small-text width=100% align=left colspan=6><i>Open Topics: Looking for somewhere to post? Maiden that looks nice, thanks for the idea. Have you tried 'valign=top' in those top cells to maybe combat the space you're asking about? I don't really think that will do it, but I notice there aren't any in your current table so figured worth a shot.

Maiden, I think you mentioned this a few pages back, sorry if it seemed like I ignored you. Anyway, I tested it myself, and yeah, there is an issue which I will try to explain. A lot of users who aren't familiar with HTML may not know how to put content on a new line. In HTML you can use "<br />", whereas the code converts new lines (\n) to break tags. Basically what I'm saying is that, while it's an issue with the plugin, it's not a bug, and what I propose is that I add in an option that gives you the choice of converting new lines to break tags, or to treat the message as HTML. Does that sound Ok? If so, I will put out a release over the weekend (maybe even today if I get round to it).

Hi DeltaDart, Thanks for the suggestions, I've tried that previously and it didn't work Hi Peter, I like the fact that the plugin converts new lines to break tags (saves me putting in break tags which just clutters things up more)... But I still don't understand how that will help me with that huge blank space? (In the blue global message under the red global message - the top blue box is the sidebar plugin header) I haven't got any new lines at the top of the code. (It's starts right on line 1 of the message box, and I've got the top row of the table (Weyrling Lessons and OoC Topics, on line 1 as well)

MaidenIt's converting them all to new lines, but because of the way nesting works, browsers auto fix it, as it would be invalid. The option I will likely implement would either treat the message as HTML or Plain Text, otherwise you will need to write all your HTML on 1 line. No one else is probably using HTML, so you are first to report it. <table width=100%><tr><td width=50% align=center colspan=3><u>Weyrling Lessons</u></td><td width=50% align=center colspan=3><u>OOC Topics</u></td></tr><tr><td width=50% align=center colspan=3><div style="float:left; width: 49%"><b>Seniors</b><i>Tylaith's P8 T8</i><a href=""></a><a href=""></a></div> <div style="float:right; width: 49%"><b>Juniors</b><i>Ceocayath's P8 T9</i><a href="http://solariaweyr.proboards.com/thread/7201/junior-weyrlings-month-4-lesson">Month 4 Lesson</a><a href="http://solariaweyr.proboards.com/thread/7205/dragon-boats-junior-dragons">Dragon Boats</a></div></td><td width=50% align=center colspan=3><a href="/index.cgi?board=announcements&action=display&thread=1767">Gossip and Rumours</a><a href="http://solariaweyr.proboards.com/thread/7209/junuary-2013-monthly-summary?scrollTo=56774&page=1">January Monthly Summary</a><a href="http://solariaweyr.proboards.com/thread/6645/qt-january-2013-orliel-fgon?scrollTo=55932&page=1">QT January 2013 - F'gon and Orliel</a><a href="http://solariaweyr.proboards.com/thread/7211/qt-february-2013-nominations">QT February 2013 - Nominations</a><a href="http://solariaweyr.proboards.com/thread/7210/senior-weyrwoman-discussion">Senior Weyrwoman Discussion</a></td></tr><tr><td> </td></tr><tr><td colspan=6 align=center><u>IC Topics</u></td></tr><tr><td width=33% align=center colspan=2><b>Solaria Weyr</b></td><td width=33% align=center colspan=2><b>Ketrin Hold</b></td><td width=33% align=center colspan=2><b>Mathon Hold</b></td></tr><tr><td class=small-text width=100% align=left colspan=6><i>Group Topics: Everyone join in!</i></td></tr><tr><td width=33% align=center colspan=2><i><a href="http://solariaweyr.proboards.com/thread/7212/momentous-move-weyrling-graduation">Weyrling Graduation!</a></i></td><td width=33% align=center colspan=2><i>None</i></td><td width=33% align=center colspan=2><i>None</i></td></tr><tr><td class=small-text width=100% align=left colspan=6><i>Open Topics: Looking for somewhere to post? This is because all new lines have been removed.
