Collapsible Categories

I've been holding off with having it based on the user since things are still breaking from time to time, and I don't want to deal with the code breaking if the plugin keys stop working for some reason.

As for having categories collapsed by default, I've added that to my todo list.

Ahh okay. The Collapsible Quick Reply works by user. Would this be a feature you might add nearer the V5 full conversion when things are less likely to break?

Updated the code to compensate for a change Proboards made to the category title. If you noticed the "new post text" or image not appearing in the correct position, it was because of that change but it is fixed now.

Brilliant, nice one cheers .. spent ages yesterday trying to suss that out. I had made a few changes then noticed that and thought I'd messed it up..

Yeah, they're still changing things from time to time so plugins may break. Just make a post if you don't think you broke it.

Any chance you could make this plugin so individual users can drag/move categories to be in an order of their choosing?
For example if you have a design & coding forum, someone who codes but not designs, may want the code boards/category at the top and design ones at the bottom, etc

That would be brilliant if you could, or even if it has to be a separate plugin but works with this one would be just as great. =)

Will this work on a custom page ?

I'm thinking of having several titlebars each with a content area for information, would be nice to collapse the content.

I'm assuming i would need to add certain ID's to accomplish this, and what would i add ?

I understand this is "collapse categories", keyword being "categories", but would you possibly make it so you can have the option to hide/show the Info Center(s) too? All Info Centers would be great, so the in board ones too. I for one don't mind having the stats there for users, but I myself don't like it, so would like to be able to close them..

Is there any way to designate images for each specific category you want to collapse/expand, as well as the ability to have an image for each of those categories to display when you have a new post?

Just select which categories you want it to use, then insert the url's to those categories for 1. Normal and 2. New Threads?

So far it just has a generic entry that is to cover /all/ categories with an image or text; yet no ability to do it individually. Why not allow users to choose which categories they want, and allow them to put an image to the category for when it is normally displayed, as well as when there is a new post?

This was working fine for me but have noticed in the last couple of days that when I leave the forum, either totally close it or go to a custom page, when I return the categories are no longer collapsed?
