I did have a code on my forum that went in global footers
that centered and bold all the posts on the forum
But that no longers works!

Not sure if need a plugin to center all posts/threads but thought i try here

Admin > Themes > Colors & Styles > Style Sheet

Add this:
.posts .content {
   font-weight: bold;
   text-align: center;
}

You might want to add it all the way to the bottom, just so you know it's your stuff down there and not default proboards stuff.

Is there a way i can do this using headers & footers?
As I'm having problems with the style sheet taking a long time to load and problems saving it..

You can add that to headers and footers by using <style>. Just add this to your header:

<style type="text/css">
.posts .content {
   font-weight: bold;
   text-align: center;
}
</style>
