Just remember that you'll need to make that change on all of your themes as the templates only apply to the theme you were currently editing in the dropdown at the top of the Layout Templates page.

Do you think you could add in a rollover img function? He beat me to it with this suggestion. Before Version 5, I had custom buttons that are similar to the switches in the game engine my Forum supports, and on rollover (or press) the image changed to the alternate image (the switch in its depressed state). I am tempted to install this plug-in as-is, but have enough other problems to resolve that it will have to wait. Perhaps by the time I am ready to re-read this plug-in thread, there will be a new version with (our ) modification added.

Updated to 2.0.2. This should fix the menu disappearing immediately upon installation of the plugin.
The problem was caused by one of the changes I made in the 2.0.0 update for cross-browser compatibility. I had the font size set to 0 for the menu and its items so that there was no empty space below the menu. In this update I've told the plugin to add font size 0 on a per button basis and to use the font size the user specifies in the plugin settings otherwise (Example of the new code: if the button has an image associated with it, add font size 0 -- if not, add the font size the user specified). As a result of the fix a font size option has been added to the Theme Menu Settings tab.

Before Version 5, I had menu buttons that had dual states: normal and hover/selected. I see 'hover' listed in the announcement ... is there any chance that it works as mine used to work? For example, I had and ... a modified switch used in the puzzle game my Forum supports. This plug-in supports the replacement of text with image, so I will probably use it, even if the alternate image on hover/select is not available. Probably something for a new thread (request), but is there support for the previous image associated with a thread in the Board display? That is, the question/exclamation/cheesy/sad/wink/et cetera?

GooRoo: The hover bit was in reference to the background color change that you can set in the Advanced Styles & CSS page for when you hover over menu items. It does not involve changing the image. There should already be a plugin for thread images available either in the plugin library accessible from your admin area or the board this thread is contained in.

You can change the font size in green to match your menu buttons' font size.

Sorry if that sounded dirty.

Seriously, you make all this look wayyyyy to easy. No idea how you figure this out-but I gotta say, it's amazing! I swear I'm not just asking cause I'm lazy-this stuff is truly difficult and quite complex. Thanks, once again! lol

I'm not seeing it. I'm assuming you disabled the plugin? The page has to get to the plugin's source code before it can execute it, so a visible change to the menu while loading is inevitable.
