[SOLVED]Increase Font Size of Quoted Text?

On my V4.5 boards, I have the font size of quoted text increased to be the same size as regular text. This is very helpful because several of my members have vision issues.

Problem is, I *think* I achieved this via a code, (it was so long ago!) but for the life of me, I can't find it in my headers/footers, probably because it doesn't say something helpful like "Increase font size of quoted text" within the code itself.

So I really need to figure out how to do this in V5, too. If it's a code, I need to know which one (I've looked in the Databank, but can't find it) so I can test it in V5 to see if it works or if I need to request a Plug-in.

You can put the following in your Global Header & Footer:

<style type="text/css">
.quote div.quote_body { font-size: 10px; }
</style>

Change the font size to whatever you want.



Alternatively, to do this on a per theme basis, you can just add the red line to your Style Sheet in the Colors & Styles area for whichever theme you want it on.

That worked! I used your second method, even though the "Warning: This feature is intended for advanced users only" message had me doing one of these:



I changed the size to 15px, and it's perfect. Now, of course, I want to change the rest of the text in posts to match. How do I change that to 15px, too?

(Yes, a little knowledge IS a dangerous thing! )

Sorry to intrude... is there one that increases the font size of the main table in the home page? (not sure if that's what it's called)

Are you referring to the welcome table and the menu on the very top? Because that's editable through the Colors & Styles page.

No I'm referring to the list of boards in the main page... Where it says the boards' names, number of posts and threads etc.

I'd like to use this modification and it does change the size of the font, but unfortunately when someone has used a smiley in their post the quoted text displays the smiley's BBCode. Is there anyway around this so the smiley images appear in the quoted text?

I've tried it in both the Headers & Footers and the Style Sheet.

You have smileys disabled by default, which will render them as plain text until you click the Smiley BBCode button and enable them.

Thanks Brian. That may have something to do with the current problems I'm having with the Theme Changer plug in.
