Label Sorting

My original bug report is posted here and within it I made a feature request:

Could there be a sorting function instated so labels don't seem grammatically out of order?.

Brian suggested I post it here for consideration.

Well, this depends where you're requesting.

Currently Labels display alphabetically in their application drop down in boards. This isn't changing.

They display on threads in the reverse order that they are applied. (IE. Applying labels L1, L2, L3 in that order will display L3, L2, L1) So you can control the order they display already. This isn't changing.

In the label list where you create Labels in the Categories and Boards they display in the order you create them. This could possibly change, though we would just alphabetize the list. It's a little odd it's not already doing that. Is this where you mean?

I might make a note to alphabetize this list so that it matches the the label drop down and is easier to read. But manual reordering probably wont be added. (at least not in the near future).

I think I get what you mean. I was more so concerned about flat out sorting alphabetically as I added l1 new l1 urgent etc and the sorting didn't leave it as l1 l1 l1 and then l2 l2 l2 etc.

Stupid err bear lost my long detailed post and I cannot remember it all.

Long story short-er. I feel that I did not completely outline my request properly per a lack of images originally (like my bug reports are).

Ryan Roos, I do not mean any disrespect (and never would) but I have to disagree with you and debunk that the labeling system does not alphabetize or add labels as you create them. I validate this per 3 images below.

1.) This is the admin area when creating labels as desired. LINK
2.) This is post-saving labels and returning back to find out they're out of order (alphabetized or "as added"). LINK
3.) This is the post-side view of the labels to validate it's not an admin-area only issue. LINK
One of my many goals for my PB forums is to have a helpdesk-like scenario and labels that are not alphabetized or in order as I created them are un-organized and un-attractive none the least. It would be easy to fix if there were some sort of adjusting ... even the un-desired deleting and re-adding would suffice but it repeatedly randomizes labels to no resolve.

Thus I do apologize to you Ryan Roos again and hope this clarifies things (should it not have originally). Hopefully PB admins and/or devs will revisit this addition/correction.

A change was recently made in that area that affected the labels. They will be alphabetical again once part 2 of the current bug is fixed.
