The root post for my topic is this one.I had chimed in on the original topic since I work in a call center and would love to have a ticket system / help desk forum of my own for various types of support. Martyn and Ryan discussed possible steps in two posts ( 1 | 2) on how to achieve this end-result. The private boards part is easy, just the coding/modding that's not. Can someone take a look at the topic above and help me create a template mod (or a plugin if that be necessary) to setup such a scenario? I greatly appreciate the help! Andrew

EDIT
Even with having some programming/coding background, I've been trying since the beta admin section came out to tinker with the template mods and even the plugin creator but they're both too disconnected in terms of programming/coding language style for me to understand the flow of them. I cannot logically or practically piece together a help desk/ticketing system and need some help.

The key factor is how to get the thread ID and stuff to populate on the private board. The looooong way to do it is to have the user extract the thread ID from the URL but a helpdesk is meant to be simple or easy to use therefore the suggestions in the root post would be how I'd like it done. Thank you for your recommendation. It will indeed be integrated. Andrew
