Participated "new"

The Participated button is a bit weird since after you check it it still says you have new posts. Sometimes you don't want to check all the threads in there. Shouldn't there either be a "mark as read" button or should the "new" graphic go away after you check it like on boards?

Mark all read has been previously suggested and was added to a list of potential features for the participate area in the past.

Technically though, it is working exactly how it should. If you have new threads it's going to have a new icon. It wouldn't make sense if the new icon on the button disappeared simply because you viewed the participated dialog. It would have no way of telling new new threads from old new threads. It just gets to complicated after that.

How do boards work though? I don't have to view every single new thread in a board to get the new icon to go away...i think...

But the point is as soon as one of them updates it's new again. The participated button has no way to tell the difference between old new and new new. It simply looks to see if there are new threads or not. If it's a yes then it displays one. No and it doesn't.

We are going to add features and options to the participated dialog at some point. It's possible once it's treated more like a board with options (like Mark All Read) that maybe it will function more like a board. Until then we just have to accept it for what it is.

One more thing. Will it be possible to display the participated threads in a table much like they were in V4 through plugins or template edits?

		That will probably become less likely once we add more options to it and treat it more like a board. We can't have it both ways.
