I originally made a post in the Proboards Sidebar Plugin thread providing some suggestions that would beneficial to both me and I'm sure many other people who use the Sidebar plugin. Tim suggested I come here to ask for help with this; so I'm hoping you lovely people will be able to help out! 
I'm going to quote what I said here so you can see it here in this thread with ease:
Alright, for my forum we have multiple skins that we like for people to have the option to use on my current forum in v4. Some of the skins simply did not have sidebars at all, and all of the skins that did have sidebars had different colors and styles within the sidebars to make them match the skin they were using.
The way we did this at the time of v4 was with Wrighty's Multiple Skins & Codes. It was fairly complicated with v4 but it worked for us to be able to do what we wanted. However, I feel like with v5 we might just be able to have an even easier time with this. However, I don't see any form of optionality for that right now, which is why I am suggesting it to you now. I don't know how complicated it would be to work that into this Sidebar code, however if it is possible I definitely suggest it since I'm sure I wouldn't be the only one to like this feature.
So basically, what I am suggesting for is this:
1) Have the plugin be able to be disabled entirely on certain skins.
2) Be able to change the color styles on skins where it is enabled so that each skin has a unique sidebar color style.
