What borders exactly are you talking about? Most border colors can be made transparent with editing the theme.

Are you talking about the one's in between the board names/descriptions and posts/threads and latest post?

Sorry that isnt transparent.Those rounded ones as well as the transparent border, that people use on v4.
I also want to ad this to a skin: I found the style sheet but it gets a syntax error when I ad it.
<script> <!-- /* Border-Around-Forum using Gradients - by Smangii */
var hg = "titlebg"; // Class of the Header Gradient var mc = "#f0b5c6"; // Color of the middle portion var bg = "titlebg"; // Class of the Footer Gradient
document.write('<table width="92%" cellspacing="1" cellpadding="0" class="bordercolor" align="center"><tr><td width="100%" class="'+hg+'"></td></tr><tr><td width="100%" bgcolor="'+mc+'">') //--> </script>

I'm sorry. I'm still not sure which transparent borders you are talking about on your v4 forum. Sorry.... All I see is white... But as for the border around forum. You tried this one?

Stluee1, They aren't seeing your transparent border because you have an error in your coding. But what Shortyverret94 linked you to in his last post is what you want.
As Shrike said, " go to Themes > Colors and Styles > Style Sheet (tab). Wait for it to load and then scroll to the bottom of the style sheet and add this:"
Except you will do this at the very end:
#wrapper {background-color: @container_inner_border_color; background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0.5); filter: progid:DXImageTransform.Microsoft.Gradient(GradientType=0, StartColorStr='#77ffffff',EndColorStr='#77ffffff'); -moz-border-radius: 10px; -webkit-border-radius: 10px; border-radius: 10px; padding: 10px; margin-top:10px; margin-bottom: 10px; }
(Your errror was leaving out the dot in the opacity part. the 0.5 (255, 255, 255, 0.5);

Do I use the skin id code there so the codes don't clash?

No, When you create a new theme you'll have the option to put a different color border in the CSS.

So I'll have to add all the codes again to each skin? under the style sheet?Without the skin id?

Stluee1, I'm learning V5 right along with you as I just had my own forum copied to V5 and have had very little time to work out much of anything. Right now, I don't know how to locate theme id or if you can, so your question will have to be answered by the pros or those who have had time to figure everything out.
I do know that you can add that css like we told you for each theme you create and within that css you the change the color for each theme. Whether that is the best way to do it or the easiest, I don't know. Wish I could be more help and wish I had more time to mess with things but life is busy.
