Just use it in the template that you want it to show, hide it in the others that you dont want to show.

No but I can tell you how to do it if you want to try it out. Simple enough

First off hide the shout box in the forum wrapper like this:
<!-- $[shoutbox] -->

---

Second, Put the shout box script at the bottom of the home template below the if closing like this:

{/if}
$[shoutbox]

---

and to show in the threads, put it in the thread template below or above the quick reply script to look like this:

$[quick_reply]
$[shoutbox]
(This will show below the quick reply)

or

$[shoutbox]
$[quick_reply]
( This will show above the quick reply)

any other variances of placement have some fun and experiment yourself

We have a hidden staff area, would it be possible to put a shoutbox just in that area? We don't want one out on the forum just something that the staff can use to talk to each other that is not visible to members. If it is possible how do I go about it please?
